Festival Motorhomes hire in Scotland

Scotland has all the essential ingredients for the perfect road trip - beautiful, ever-changing scenery, incredible attractions and welcoming towns and villages. All you need is to hire a motorhome, an amazing playlist and great company and a selection of campsites!

When touring Scotland by motorhome, your route can vary in length; trips can be as short or as long as you like. You could easily spend a week or two touring a large area of the country, or explore a couple of regions over a weekend.

Plan a road trip to see some of Scotland's most awesome sights - maybe you'll weave through the dramatic mountains of Glen Coe, skirt the eastern coastline to see Dunnottar Castle, or wind your way along the bonnie, bonnie banks of Loch Lomond?

Scotland has some mighty fine options. We wouldn't be surprised if you wanted to experience them all.

So what's on offer? Hear tales of kings and queens, see striking cliff-top castles and discover science's latest inventions. Whether you want to step onboard a Royal yacht in Leith, climb over 240 steps up the National Wallace Monument for views over a National Park or try your hand at keyhole surgery in Dundee, there are countless ways to fill days, weeks and even months at Scotland's attractions so make sure you plan this into your motorhome hire and campsite needs.

There's nothing like the flexibility of the long open road. Endless byways, wide winding country tracks and excellent twists through some of Scotland's finest seaside landscape are only a couple of things you can expect along the North Coast 500 - Scotland's answer to Route 66.

More about Scotland

The course begins in the northern city of Inverness, weaves along the west coast to Applecross and after that northwards towards the towns of Torridon and Ullapool. From that point, you'll drive to the most northerly coastal views in Scotland, going by Caithness and John o' Groats before traveling south again through Dingwall lastly back to Inverness.

It's not only your engine that requires refueling. This side of Scotland has a lot of mouth-watering food and drink to enchant your tastebuds. Attempt the seafood at the Kishorn Seafood Bar in Wester Ross or stop off at the Lochinver Larder for what have been regarded the 'best pies in the Highlands'.

End up needing a little sugar kick? We prescribe a liberal hot chocolate at Cocoa Mountain or a small home heated treat at the Whaligoe Steps, a concealed bistro simply off the A9. Or then again, you could simply stop for a Scottish cookout in nature and appreciate the landscape in the meantime as inspecting the locale's luscious specialities.
